ABOUT ME

Florida LCSW License Number: SW21763 | Kansas License: LSCSW 06434

Hi! My name is Fransheska & I am a bilingual clinical social worker from Carolina, Puerto Rico. I earned my Bachelor’s degree majoring in Criminal Justice. I enjoyed learning about the justice system and its moving parts; but I always felt like wanting to be part of prevention & healing. After moving to Florida in 2018 I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work. During this time I was able to explore a new found passion and life calling.

I began working in non-profits mainly with victims of crimes such a domestic violence, sexual violence & human trafficking. I also had the opportunity to work with at risk youth & the child welfare system. I have worked with adults, teens, different mental health diagnosis & court mandated clients. I have been a certified Domestic Violence Advocate for 4 years and state trainer for 2 years.

I am a Social Work Professor for Bachelor’s & Master’s level students at Ana G Mendez University. Helping mold the future social workers is a great passion of mine. I have also had the opportunity to work on different STOP grants for victims of Domestic Violence. When I am not working you can find me playing video games, reading fantasy books or spending time with loved ones.

I use a Jungian Psychoanalytic approach emphasizing finding the true self, using art, symbols, myth, and other tools to help patients access these feelings, thoughts, and core beliefs. Within this philosophy I use different tools and techniques from Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). As a clinical social worker I practice from a systems approach. Recognizing how our environment whether it is home, work or general society affects or emotional & mental wellbeing. This includes having an anti-racist and anti-oppresive framework. I strive to help my client heal mind, body & soul using a holistic approach.
